Nexus 4 reportedly back in stock beginning today at noon

Availability of the Nexus 4 smartphone has been scarce since it was released last November. Supply chain woes have kept the flagship device out of stock, however Google (GOOG) CEO Larry Page has vowed to fix the supply chain problems and get the handset back in stock as soon as possible. On Monday evening, the company changed the availability of the Nexus 4 on the Play Store to “Temporarily Out of Stock,” leaving many to speculate that the device would soon return. HTC sends invitations to February 19th press conference flagship M7 unveiling expected

Struggling smartphone vendor HTC (2498) will hold a press conference in New York City on February 19th to unveil its latest device. Invitations to the event were sent to bloggers and reporters on Tuesday, but no details were provided. The likely topic of conversation will be the company’s upcoming flagship Android phone, code-named “M7,” which is expected to pack impressive specs including a 4.7-inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 468 ppi, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera and a 2,300 mAh battery. BGR will be on hand at the event, so tune in for all the news as it breaks. UK shocker BlackBerry PlayBook is outselling the new iPad

British electronics distribution specialist Context dropped a bit of a bombshell on Tuesday by claiming that Research In Motion’s (RIMM) PlayBook tablet outsold Apple’s latest iPad during the last two months of the 2012. Of course, Apple (AAPL) has its own retail stores in the UK where most in-store sales likely occur, but the sales channels monitored by Context still make up most of the electronics distribution in the UK. According to Context, the PlayBook shifted 160,000 units and the latest-generation iPad 113,000 units over the Christmas period, giving RIM a fairly substantial lead.
